Steve Jobs said that you can only connect the dots of your life backwards. He was so right and if you haven't yet heard his speech, then go have a look for it on YouTube. Very wise words from that man. I know I have posted about this before, but seeing the connections between us on a daily basis keeps on amazing me. And once you start, it seems that you can't stop; They become more and more obvious every day.
I LOVE being so connected.
My latest connection is a guy that asked me to help him out with some marketing ideas. I won't bother you with the details of the case. We met though and after some time he gave me his old, but then also his new email address. The new address was an @hope address. My name means hope, in Russian.
Well now, you might say I am reading too much into it, but taking into account what a great connection I made overall, and what a positive vibration I got from the meeting, I don't think it is reading too much, I think of it as confirmation of a Universal Intention.
Interestingly enough, he wasn't the only person who asked me to help out with marketing in that day. This of course brought me to asking why now? This seems to be something that is coming up more and more for me now, and I am not yet in a position to accept all of these, simply because I don't have any time to help anyone, but I am keeping these options open for the time being. Or at least the 2 that are so very connected in time.
Want more? OK. I follow a blog called ForestWalkArt, run by someone who's nature pictures are most fascinating and very unusual, making them so much more beautiful. Also, she photographs spiders, which I love and which very few people do. She also has a habit of collecting bones and using them for her art. I started reading a book called "Women who run with the wolves", by Clarissa Pinkola Estes and the very first chapter was about The Bone Women. Rather intense reading, but the more I read it, the more I thought of my friend and the reasons why she collected her bones. Long story short, I sent her some pages as a matter of interest and as we got to talking, I told her that my one of my totem animals is the Wolf, the other being a turtle. Low and behold, it turns out hers are exactly the same animals. I have been following her for so long and I never even knew this. It took this book to bring us a little closer to why we are so drawn to one another... Let me just add that very few people have TWO totem animals at their disposal, so the fact that we have both the same ones, makes it even more special.
Well, I think it is special anyway. And if you miss the small connections, you will miss the big connections. And in the end, all connections are miracles. It is as simple and as complicated as that.
On another note of connectiveness, here is some advice from a tree.
