I could tell you endless things about me, but that won't help you to know me, only perhaps see me as I see myself.
I am a bit of a recluse. Bar having to go to work, of course, I prefer to spend my days and evenings at home, alone or with my husband and daughter, it makes little difference. I value being alone as much as I value being with my amazing family. I suppose that makes me interesting, probably in a boring way. My brother says I am weird, a hippy and odd. He's always calling me names so who knows if this is true. Other people don't call me names. I think they're scared of me.
I do yoga. I love yoga. I am a yoga teacher (currently in training).
I drink black coffee. But I love herbal tea.
I am a bit of a purist.
I pay attention to what's healthy, would love the time to set up my vegetable garden and I collect books on both subjects along with recipes, even though I don't use them.
I love books. I love the smell, the feel and the passion that seeps through each one. I love second hand book stores especially.
I love trees and find it hard to reconcile my love for books with my love for trees. So I plant trees, buy second hand books whenever I can and I have an e-reader which I have failed to use in the 6 months since I got it. Although I do have a multitude of books loaded onto it.
I don't like spending time in the kitchen so I never cook. Quite simply, it is just not priority and given the odd 5 minutes to do what I want, cooking does not feature anywhere on the list.
I read. I write. I am passionate about words and languages.
Knowledge is my drug.
I care for the environment and I am a vegetarian. My husband is a carnivore. We live in peace. So can everyone.
You can see this piece on my home page as well, more or less, and I think that is just about as simple as it is going to get. I am not a woman of few words, I don't play those 'do this in one word' games as I am completely incapable of doing anything in just one word, unless that word is awesome. I would talk your ears off given the chance, so should I start to elaborate on myself and my life, I might never stop. And who would read all that.
